Eric Keifer Joins Berkeley Point Capital as Senior Managing Director

Eric Keifer_smBoston, MA – Berkeley Point Capital is pleased to announce the addition of Eric Keifer as Senior Managing Director, Head of FHA, Affordable, and Seniors Housing.

Mr. Keifer brings over twenty years of commercial mortgage experience in the multifamily and healthcare arenas. Prior to Berkeley Point, Mr. Keifer was General Counsel and Senior Vice President at Rockport Mortgage Corporation where he oversaw all HUD-insured multifamily and healthcare closings from loan commitment through securitization and provided strategic guidance in the structuring of a broad range of transactions encompassing all aspects of FHA-insured financing and affordable housing. Prior to that, Mr. Keifer was at Berkadia and Capmark.

Mr. Keifer earned a J.D. from Western New England College School of Law in 1997. He began his career as General Counsel for Commercial Capital Corporation in New York City, overseeing Small Business Association loan closings. From there he moved into the closing department of GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corporation closing HUD-insured loans. In 2000, he joined the law firm Hessel & Aluise, PC, in Washington, DC, where his practice focused primarily on HUD-related matters. In 2002, Mr. Keifer re-joined GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corporation as Senior Vice President and Manager of the FHA Closing Department.
