Ira Strassberg has served as Chief Financial Officer of Berkeley Point Capital since May 2012 and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. In his role, Ira is responsible for financial reporting, tax planning, budgeting, accounting, treasury, and the strategic financial processes for the company.
Prior to joining the firm, Ira served as Senior Vice President, Multifamily Chief Financial Officer at Fannie Mae from 2008-2012. Prior to his tenure at Fannie Mae, he was Chief Financial Officer at Walker & Dunlop from 2006-2008, and held Senior Director positions at Freddie Mac from 2003-2006. Earlier in his career, Ira advised large and mid-sized financial services companies as a Managing Director and Capital Markets practice leader at BearingPoint (fka KPMG Consulting).
Ira received a BS in Business Administration in Accounting from Georgetown University and is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, and Chartered Global Management Accountant.
